Franklin is in Johnson County about 20 miles south of Indianapolis.  It is easily accessible from I-65 and U.S. 31.  Population in 2010 was 23,712.

Median income is about $45,000.  There is a common council made up of 7 members elected by voters and serve for 4 years.

Franklin is rich in history and is the county seat of Johnson County.  The Courthouse shows the architectural history and the homes near downtown and Franklin College are well maintained and the streets are brick.

Franklin College is a small, private four-year undergrad college with a beautiful campus.  Fourth Fridays during the summer months in the small town include a farmer’s market, classic car shows, events in the arts district and many family activities.
