Greenfield is in Hancock County and can easily be accessed from I-70E or due east on E. Washington Street (40E) from Indianapolis.  Greenfield is the home of James Whitcomb Riley.  Greeenfield has been the county seat of Hancock County since 1828 and still has the charm of Main Street and a town right out of the past.  July 4th always has a old fashioned parade right through the middle of town.  The town has several homes and sites that are historical including the James Whitcomb Riley Home and the Philadelphia Methodist Church built in 1853.
